Treatment to address issues in a previously treated root canal.
Root canal retreatment requires a licensed endodontic specialist. Lawrence Park Dentistry will coordinate a referral when this treatment is recommended.
Most root canal treatments last for many years. Occasionally a previously treated tooth can become painful or show signs of lingering infection. Retreatment revisits the inside of the tooth, cleans the canals again, and reseals them.
This care requires a specialist. We will examine the tooth, explain why retreatment may help, and arrange referral so you stay informed at every step.
