Knocked-Out Tooth (Avulsed tooth)
If your tooth gets knocked out, you must immediately notify Dr.Cirstea or Dr.Pistol. Start by retrieving the tooth and be sure to handle it very gentle, being careful not to touch the roots. You may clean the tooth by rinsing it very gently in water. Do not scrub the tooth. If possible, you may try to reposition the tooth carefully in its original place. In the event that was not possible to reposition the tooth, simply place the tooth in a small container with some milk.
Loose Teeth
You should immediately call Dr.Cirstea or Dr.Pistol in the case of a loose tooth . Keep the tooth in its natural position by applying gentle pressure with your finger. Do not be forceful. Sometimes it helps to bite down on the tooth to keep it from moving. Dr.Cirstea or Dr.Pistol may want to splint it to its adjacent teeth.
Chipped, Cracked or Fractured Teeth
If you have a chipped tooth but no pain, it is usually not a dental emergency, and it won’t hurt to wait a few days until an appointment can be made with Lawrence Park Dentistry. In treating a chipped tooth, Dr.Cirstea or Dr.Pistol may simply smooth the area or repair it with composite filling material. In case of a tooth that is cracked or fractured , you should immediately contact Lawrence Park Dentistry for an emergency appointment If the nerve inside the tooth is damaged, you may need a root canal. If the nerve is unharmed, a crown may be recommended by Dr.Cirstea or Dr.Pistol. If your tooth cannot be saved, the best option available will be an Immediate Implant.
Something stuck between teeth
Try first using dental floss to remove the foreign object. Never use sharp objects such as pins or needles which can scratch the tooth’s enamel and cut your gums. If you cannot remove the object, call Lawrence Park Dentistry to book an appointment.
Lost filling

Problems with Temporary Restorations
